« Workshop Ondes
– Phases – Signal (OPSI) »
Dates: 14 et 15 MAI 2012
Lieu: Au Col de Porte
Nous organisons un workshop portant sur
l'étude des phases géométriques et les outils de traitement du signal dédiés.
Ce workshop rassemblera des physiciens théoriciens, expérimentateurs et un large spectre d'applications telles que l'acoustique, la
biophysique, la mécanique quantique.
Il se
déroulera les 14 et 15 mai 2012 au Col
de Porte (Massif de la Chartreuse à 20 km de Grenoble) à l’Hôtel Cartusia.
Ce workshop est financé par le PEPS
PANH (processus aléatoires non-holonomes : caractérisation spectrale
hypercomplexe, chaînes de Markov et phases géométrique) du CNRS INSIS.

MAP5 “Materials Analysis and Processing in magnetic
Field”
Dates: 13-17 May 2012
Lieu: Autrans
The workshop
will focus on the magnetic field interactions involved in the study and
processing of materials in all disciplines ranging from physics to chemistry
and biology. Fundamental mechanisms as
well as industrial applications will be discussed. A special focus will be made
on technical aspects, including material processing techniques in high field,
in situ monitoring and analysis, and relevant material analysis for magnetic
field effect studies.

school 2012»

Location: les Balcons du lac d’Annecy
The X-FEL school 2012 will give a comprehensive
overview of the research opportunities offered by X-ray and XUV Free Electron
Laser facilities. The main experimental techniques will be presented in details
during pedagogical lectures and illustrated by scientific highlights. The
practical aspects for preparing a project of experiment will also be discussed.
The school aims at scientists of different fields (physics, chemistry, life
sciences,…) who are interested in using X-FEL
facilities for their research. It will be an opportunity to bring together
newcomers to X-FELs, experienced users, and beamline
scientists, and to promote collaborations and projects.

Transparent Conductive Materials (NanoTCMs)

This two-day event will review critical materials and
physical issues dealing with Transparent Conductive Materials (TCMs). Its
purpose is to present the state-of-the- art, some key scientific issues and
future perspectives in this emerging domain, through invited conferences, oral
presentations and poster sessions. In a unique environment, NanoTCMs
will offer the opportunity to gather the international community of students,
young and senior scientists working on TCMs.

The production
of high quality graphene over large areas and the
investigation of the influence of a substrate on graphene's
unique properties focus a considerable effort worldwide. The aim of the
workshop is to intensify the discussion on the topic of graphene
on metals, to explore new links between the different subfields involved and to
pinpoint unsolved and controversial issues. The workshop will address surface
science studies of the structural and physical properties, the production of graphene, including device fabrication, and theoretical
investigations.
