Réunion GdR Phénix sur les "systèmes désordonnés soumis à un forçage"

We are planning a two-day meeting on driven disordered systems at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique (LIPhy) in Grenoble, on 5-6 June 2014. We would like to invite you to participate in this meeting, which will be organized in the framework of GDR Phenix. The goal of this meeting is to promote exchanges between scientists of different communities (depinning, rheology and mechanical response of amorphous systems) and to compare their different approaches. Is there room for similar concepts in different types of driven disordered systems ? The main focus will be on approaches inspired from statistical physics (multi-scale methods, bridging of micro-macro descriptions, study of fluctuations) both from a theoretical and an experimental point of view.
