Silicon based quantum information in Grenoble : status and perspectives

Recent breakthroughs in purified silicon (28Si) spin qubits have pushed Si spin qubits to a level that they can easily compete with superconducting qubits which are presently considered as the most promising systems for quantum information in condensed matter. The fact that Si technology is a well established industrial semiconductor technology will allow for implementation of quantum technology at a semi-industrial level and put Grenoble in a good position for future challenges in quantum information technology within Europe.
This meeting intends to present the latest achievements in the field of Si based quantum information and to show how Grenoble could become a global player within this research field by gathering available forces on-site and by benefitting from well-established semi-industrial nanofabrication.
