Interlayer magnetoresistance in strongly anisotropic quasi-2D metals, where the interlayer hopping time is comparable to the cyclotron period, has many qualitatively new features. This makes the standard 3D theory inapplicable to these compounds. In my talk I briefly summarize the old results and present the recent theoretical findings on interlayer magnetoresistance in strongly anisotropic quasi-2D metals. In particular, its field and angular dependence strongly differs as compared to the standard 3D theory. The quasi-2D layered compounds are very common : heterostructures, intercalated graphite, organic metals, all high-Tc superconducting materials, including cuprates and pnictides, etc.
