Introduction to quantum computing from a physics perspective
Lundi 29 mai 2017 10:00
- Duree : 2 heures
Lieu : Amphithéâtre, Maison des Magistères, Bâtiment W, CNRS - 25 Avenue des Martyrs - 38042 Grenoble
Orateur : Xavier WAINTAL
This set of lectures aims at bridging the gap between physicists who know how one or two quantum bits (qubits) actually work and (theoretical) computer scientis ts who would know what to do with ideal qubits if they were available. In the middle is an elegant construction - quantum error correction and fault tolerant quantum computing - that is supposed to take care of the small imperfections (imprecisions, decoherence...) of the physical qubits and produce effective logical qubits that could be used to perform actual calculations.
