A common flipping ratio at polarized neutron scattering instruments is of the order of 20 while some instruments (D17) and high precision experiments in fundamental physics (PF1B) need a much higher polarization of neutrons for wavelengths within 2-20A. In my talk I will present a solution proposed by the SON and PF1B teams which may push the flipping ratio to the order of several thousands keeping the transmission of classical devises. The first test of a real-size prototype was performed in November at PF1B. The results of this very successful experiment as well as further improvements in the polarizer performance will be discussed.
