The Thesis Prize of the Nanosciences Foundation was created in 2009. It aims to acknowledge the best PhD thesis realised in the Nanosciences field prepared within one of the Grenoble laboratories.
The 2012 Thesis Prize will be awarded to Anne-Cécile REYMANN (iRTSV) and Ioan Mihai POP (Institut Néel).
On the speakers panel, next to Anne-Cécile and Ioan, will figure 3 of the 9 Grenoble-based scientists granted by the European Research Council in 2012 :
• Olivier ARCIZET (Institut Néel) on "Hybrid quantum nano-optomechanics".
• David COOPER (LÉTI) on "Single active dopant detection in semiconductor nanowires using electron holography"
• Stéphane REDON (INRIA) on “Adaptive algorithms for computational nanoscience”
