How does the brain solve causal inference ?
Vendredi 20 octobre 2017 10:00
- Duree : 1 heure
Lieu : GIPSA-lab, salle Mont-Blanc, 11 rue des Mathématiques, 38402 St Martin d’Hères
Orateur : Ruben MORENO-BOTE (Theoretical and Cognitive Neuroscience (TCN) Group, Université
Pompeu Fabra de Barcelone)
Causal inference lies at the heart of the most difficult computations
that the brain accomplishes. In this talk I will review some past work
and more recent results from our lab on how spiking networks might be
solving this type of problems, using perceptual bistability as a model
phenomenon. I will also overview ongoing projects in the lab, which
expand on our goal of understanding how the brain travels from sensory representations to inferred objects.
