Decision neuroscience in humans heavily relies on fMRI studies, which have identified a so-called brain valuation system. In this talk, I will compare the functional properties of value signals identi-fied with fMRI versus intra-cranial recordings. Converging results provide a solid basis for under-standing how the human brain makes a decision, and provide insights into several types of choice bias, such as the influence of mood fluctuations on risk attitude.
