PSYCHOLOGY & BIOMEDICINE : SAME REPRODUCIBILITY CRISIS, DIFFERENT RESPONSE
Mardi 25 juin 2019 11:00
- Duree : 1 heure
Lieu : Salle de Conférence de l’IAB - Rond Point de La Chantourne, 38700 La Tronche (arrêt de tram Grand Sablon, ligne B)
Orateur : Robert NADON (McGill University, Montreal, Canada)
Biomedicine and psychology are each undergoing what has been called a “reproducibility crisis.” The responses of the two fields, however, have been quitedifferent. Psychologists have been openly challenging the fundamental methods of their field. Biomedical scientists, by contrast, have been more circumspect, more secretive, and less self-reproachful. I will draw on my experiences in the two fields to
discuss why I think that is and what are its implications for biomedicine.
